“Many years ago it would have been considered really uncool to do that,” he says.
The singer already has four sons with model Lucy Helmore with whom he was married to for 21 years.
“We wanted different things,” he told the Mail on Sunday’s Event Magazine. First of all I thought I could, and then later I thought, it’s not the right thing to do.

He recently went to Buckingham Palace to receive his CBE from the Queen.
