If a 20 year old college guy meets a 17 year old high school girl and starts dating her would you call this cradle robbing or is it no bid deal? It is not so different from a 40 year old dating a 35 year old. I pretty sure I was dating a 17 year old when I was 20. Now I'm 23 and I would have no problem meeting someone who is 19.

I'm a little worried about the whole you can't date a minor if you're over 18 rule. He's giving consent and you aren't a 40 year old woman. nah i doubt anyone will even care/notice enough to report it unless someone has an ultimate vendetta against you. Once you're 16 (In Florida) you can date an adult as long as nobody presses charges.
I have a co-worker with whom I'm work chums (we're not bosom buddies but we like each other at work- I'm sure you've had one).
He ended a long-term relationship last year (non live-in) and I was glad when he said he'd met someone who really "did it for him"- bright, vivacious, intellectual and, I just learned when I met her- 19 years old. (He's technically a professor but he's non-teaching, so she's not ever going to be in any of his classes, so that's not an issue.) Hmmm...
By doing this, you actually gain a lot more control.
You are able to gauge this young man's behaviors in your presence and you would be able to speak freely with your daughter about him.
